An original vintage 1962 movie poster (linen backed) for the film Walk On The Wild Side, an American drama directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring Laurence Harvey, Capucine, Jane Fonda, Anne Baxter, and Barbara Stanwyck. The movie captures the shady, violent, sex working, low-life world of the French Quarter of New Orleans during the Depression.
The opening titles for this film has a prowling black cat taking a 'walk on the wild side’. Its was created by Saul bass the legendary artist who did posters for Vertigo, Man with the Golden Arm, The Shinning, Anatomy Of Murder to name a few. He also did title sequences for Cape Fear, Pycho, Goodfellas, Age Of Innocence.

Very good condition. This poster was previoulsy folded as issued, but had now been linen backed for conservation and displaying purposes. The backing flattens out all the creases. there is a minor water stain in bottom left corner.
