A 1973 original vintage movie poster - UK quad for the theatrical release of The Sting, an American caper film set in September 1936, involving a complicated plot by two professional grifters (Paul Newman and Robert Redford) to con a mob boss (Robert Shaw). The film was directed by George Roy Hill, and has got one of the great movie bromances of all time with Redford and Newman who had already established their double act credentials in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid four years earlier. A great film no doubt, with an undeniable earworm theme - The Entertainer, created by Scott Joplin and composed for the film by Marvin Hamlisch.
