A rare 1975 original vintage movie poster U.S insert for Dog Day Afternoon, an American crime heist film directed by Sidney Lumet. The film stars Al Pacino and John Cazale, Charles Durning and is based on a true story in 1972 about a bank robbery and hostage situation led by John Wojtowicz and Salvatore Naturile at a Chase Manhattan branch in Brooklyn.
The film centres on three amateur bank robbers who plan to hold up a bank. A nice simple robbery: Walk in, take the money, and run. Unfortunately, their supposedly uncomplicated heist suddenly becomes a bizarre nightmare as everything that could go wrong does.
